Yes, we are the Champions!! Yes, we defeated the home team (Yayasan All Stars) with all of its star-studded players!! Yes, our players played well, did what was instructed according to our game plan. Yes, our boys' parents were ecstatic, happy, overjoyed.
But through all this euphoria, we must not forget that our boys are still learning and this win must not be allowed to overpower their minds which will lead to complacency and inflated egos. This is the reason why we have decided to send some of our boys to attend training with our state's U21 squad so that they realise that they still have a long way to go before becoming a complete player. They also will see what is required of them to play at that level. We have to admit it that our boys have nothing to prove anymore at the U16 level. No, not because we are gloating because we are champions of this tournament but because this tournament has shown that our boys have matured as far as their ages have permitted them to do so. Now they have to strive to achieve goals at a higher level and they need to drive harder, stronger, more than ever before.
