Only 18 players with the highest degree of SELF-DISCIPLINE will be on that plane to Kota Kinabalu. Training starts this Saturday and Sunday 4:30pm-5:45pm at Telekom.

We did it - our coaches, our players, our supporters and of course, our opponents and their supporters which pushed us to become champions. Sometimes adversity works in the opposite direction and this was one of the factors that spurred us on. In addition to that, we had 3 main tactical strategies - win the ball quickly at all times, attack with speed and score at least 1 goal quickly in the first 10 minutes. We did all that!! What can I say about Syifa's wonder strike from 40m out in the 1st minute of the match and then Helmy's cool and composed finish for our 2nd goal!! Kudos to White Tiger FC for pushing us all the way. It was a good and exciting match with all the drama needed to make it a final to remember.
But through this euphoria of becoming champions, we must not lose sight of our objectives and there are still a lot of things that our players need to improve on. And this will take discipline, hardwork and dedication from each and everyone. We cannot become complacent and rest on our laurels!!
UPDATE: PIALA DATUK BANDAR 2012
Our Team Kickalob K14 will be playing against Villa United FC on Sunday (15 July 2012) in the 1st semi-final match (8:30am). If we lose, we will be playing in the 3rd/4th Placing match at 3:30pm. If we win, we will play in the Championship Match at 4:30pm.
We ended up in 2nd place at the end of the preliminary round which saw White Tiger FC coming out tops. Our players ran out of steam in the last match against White Tiger FC after giving their all in the earlier match against Villa United FC. But kudos to the players who never gave up and played their hearts out.
Let us all go to Jubilee Ground this Sunday and give our Team Kickalob K14 our undivided support. And if you do come, please BEHAVE!! We do not want to be like supporters of another team which were booing us when we were singing the state anthem. That was very shameful considering that this is an age group competition and children seeing adults behave without any manners whatsoever.

UPDATE: LIGA SAMARAHAN 2012
Our Team Kickalob K2015 lost narrowly 0-1 to Marr SC Akjaemura in our last league game. We finished 8th among the 10 teams and we achieved our target of collecting 5 points. There's the Piala Residen 2012 tournament to look forward to and this will be held in October 2012.

2 matches played over the weekend. Our Team Kickalob K14 won both but the performances of our team in both matches were still not up to par, particularly where attacking speed was concerned and major defensive lapses in concentration. Controlling any game is good but fruitful controlling of the game is what matters, We must know what to do when we have the ball, we must know how to exploit our opponents' weaknesses when we have the ball, we must know where our teammates are before we receive the ball, we must know where to run to when we don't have the ball to create space for our teammate who has the ball , we must know what we want to do with the ball before we receive the ball, we must have options ready before we receive the ball just in case our initial plan has been blocked by our opponents, we must know where our opponents are whether they have the ball or not. All these require quick brains - we cannot be slow when making decisions. Football is an easy game unless we make it hard for ourselves.
Anyway, we defeated Duraclean - SMK Bandar Kuching No 2 3-0 and we defeated Iskfit - SMK Bakjo 4-1. On Sunday, we will be up against Villa United FC (3:00pm) and White Tiger FC (5:00pm). We are currently 2nd in the standings and 3 points from the 2 matches should confirm our semi-final ticket.
